Here you'll see the results of a chance encounter between a Russian Horizon 202 panoramic camera and Kodak HIE infrared film. Working with these materials in the landscape genre, I have found the combination of a lens barely capable of sharpness and a film with extremely prominent grain to be a welcome contrast to modern cinematography which relentlessly aims for ever higher definition and cleaner images. Taking my inspiration from Alfred Steiglitz and the Photo-Secessionist movement, I am trying to create timeless images completely avoiding traces of the modern world.
